Twisted Rooster Bar: Your Welcoming Hub for Drag Shows and Delicious Drinks in Melbourne, FL

I’ve been to this establishment many times. The environment is always welcoming and the staff as well as the owner have always gone above and beyond to make sure my friends and I have a pleasant experience. I absolutely love the safe environment they provide and recommend that everyone come in and check it out. Not to mention the awesome drink deals they have on a regular basis and well as entertaining drag shows..

Drag BINGO was so much fun! The staff totally won me over with their energy. Anita was the host and she was HILARIOUS and kept the crowd engaged. The drinks were super good thanks to the bar tender Sean, he was funny as all get out too with his blunt humor which totally fits the whole vibe of the place. Appetizers were good (chips salsa & queso, Cuban egg roll, empanadas), I would love to see more on the menu in the future. I definitely recommend coming and trying this place out, I’m happy I did :)

I'm not sure what agenda the reviewer 'Qunicy' has, but the long-winded review from a new account with only 1 review tells me that they have a grudge against either the owner and/or the staff, and attempted to drag down the review of this establishment with their 1-star rating. My husband and I were in town 11/29/24 - 12/01/24 and visited The Twisted Rooster on Friday for a drag show featuring Remini Mogul and T Lo Ivy. Melbourne lacks LGBTQ inclusive spaces, so we were excited to be in a welcoming space (which is rare for the Central & Northern Florida Atlantic coastline). Despite it being a rainy evening, the crowd was enthusiastic and the hostesses were engaging, entertaining, stunning and very kind. We truly enjoyed how they engaged, despite a smaller crowd due to the weather & time of year. Support local queer art & remember to TIP YOUR QUEENS! You can get singles from the bar, just make sure you have CashApp or Venmo setup on your phone. We received great table service on the floor in addition to cold, well-made drinks (bourbon & ginger ale; cosmopolitan; beer). The bartenders were busy but took time to chat with us when we asked for recommendations for fine dining in the area. The owner was extremely welcoming to us, stopping by the bar to chat with us and provide his own dining recommendations. He offered us a drink on the house, but we opted not to out of manners and courtesy. The bathroom has cheeky, eclectic decor. I am a bit of a germophobe, and was not concerned. We will be visiting the area again for our 10-year wedding anniversary in late February 2025, and to explore more of Melbourne, as we are looking to move from Ocala. I hope The Twisted Rooster enjoys another 6-years of operations!

As a straight man who doesn’t care for the bar atmosphere, I enjoy coming to this establishment with my wife and friends to hang out and watch some very entertaining drag shows. Jimit the owner is next level and very personable with all patrons. No judgement or discrimination. If you tell the entertainers no thank you? They respect it the first time and will not bother you.

Why just stare at strangers when they walk in your bar? People you have never met before it can be future friends but that was not the atmosphere here
